We report the case of a patient with diagnosis of ischemic-necrotic myocardiopaty, in Functional Class II and with a previous inferoposterior infarct. In the surgical act, during the traditional revascularization procedure in the anterior descent artery, we implanted-in this dead zone-autologous myoblasts cultured previously. In the follow-up we could compare restoration of motility in the above mentioned zone, before it reached the akinetic state. This implant constitutes the first of this kind performed in Latin America.
