Abstract

Heart transplant is a proven surgical therapy for advanced heart failure but only for selected patients. At present, the project of mechanical circulatory support imply to accomplish a longterm hemodynamic support that could improve life expectancy as well a quality of life for patients in waiting list. We present a patient that received all electric left ventricular assistance devices while being in terminal heart failure stage. At present the patient has spent 325 days with ambulatory assistance, evolving with an outstanding hemodynamic and functional improvement.
