2023 Dr. Pedro Cossio Foundation Award

Abstract

The 49th Argentine Congress of Cardiology was held with its usual success from October 19 to 21, 2023. The Scientific Committee of the Congress selected 4 works to contend for the 2023 Dr. Pedro Cossio Foundation Award. The winning work was: Initial Diuretic Efficiency as Predictor of Diuretic Resistance and Clinical Outcome in Acute Decompensated Heart Failure, by Cristhian Scatularo et al. This study contributes to the limited literature available on the vital benefits of diuretics in ADHF. Knowledge of the diagnostic tool described above would likely increase with greater and longer experiences.
