Background
The excellent results all over the world, put on the way of our intratoracic transplantation program.
Methods
We incorporate patients with severe heart failure, without any probability of other therapeutic approach. Using an immunosuppression protocol with triple drug, without cyclosporine in the perioperative time.
Results
The 90,5% survival in the perioperative time, with none other mortality in the follow up (13 month). We had similar incidence of rejection, and infection than the literature. We made long distance harvesty, considerated in previous time us a high risk. We present a low incidence of renal disfunction in the perioperative time.
Conclusion
This data is satisfactory for the first year of this transplant program. The scheme of triple drug without induction therapy, and a late begin of cyclosporine shows similar results than general literature, with low incidence of renal complication.
