The compromise of the pulmonary valve as single component of the bacterious endocarditis is most in frequent, being exceptional the need for its surgical resolution. The descriptions are often in populations of drug patients or congenital cardiopaties. In this case, the complication (embolism) of a central catheter was the etiological agent that favored the process, 27 years after the procedure. The impossibility to achieve adequate removal of the eptical focus lead to a surgical treatment with pulmonary valvulectomy without replacement, with good clinical and hemodynamic tolerance in the short follow-up.
